ABOUT ME

Welcome! I’m Charis Uster, the founder of Healing Hearts Lab. As a sex counsellor in training, my mission is to help individuals and people in partnerships embrace their authentic selves, heal emotional wounds, and foster deeper, more meaningful connections.

I specialize in offering anti-oppressive, queer-affirming care that celebrates the full spectrum of identities and experiences. I don’t care about my clients’ age, sexuality, gender, or profession—what matters to me is creating a space where everyone feels valued and supported. Everyone deserves autonomy, dignity, and access to mental health services that prioritize their unique needs and lived experiences. My practice is built on the belief that healing and growth are for everyone, regardless of where they come from or what they do.

At Healing Hearts Lab, I aim to combine compassionate mental health support with practical tools for self-discovery, sexual empowerment, and emotional well-being.

I’m deeply passionate about breaking down societal taboos around sexuality because I believe these stigmas create barriers to understanding, acceptance, and joy in our intimate lives. These taboos often foster shame, silence, and misinformation, preventing individuals from fully embracing their desires, identities, and relationships.

My practice is porn-positiv and sex worker inclusive. I support the experiences of sex workers, and thrive to provide a welcoming space for all identities.
